1L LCLD Scholar - Irvine

The Irvine office of Fisher Phillips is seeking outstanding first-year law students to join our 2019 summer program.  In addition to participating in the firm's summer program, the LCLD 1L Scholars will participate in the LCLD Scholar Program, which includes attending the LCLD Scholars Summit in Atlanta, June 4-6, 2019.  The 2019 summer program will begin on May 20, 2019 and will end on July 26, 2019.
 
Qualifications:
We seek highly motivated students from diverse backgrounds who possess excellent academic credentials and a genuine interest in labor and employment law.  Prior work experience in management or human resources is helpful, but not required.  Candidates must be currently enrolled as a first-year law student in good standing at an ABA accredited law school.
 
Application Process:
All applications must include a cover letter, resume and law school transcript with first semester grades to be complete.  In your cover letter, please describe why you are interested in participating in the LCLD 1L Scholars Program, your commitment to diversity and inclusion, and your interest in practicing labor and employment law at Fisher Phillips.  The application deadline is February 22, 2019.  If you wish to be considered for multiple offices, please express your interest in other offices in your cover letter.  You do not need to apply multiple times.

ATLANTA- OSHA EMPLOYMENT LITIGATION ASSOCIATE

The Atlanta office of Fisher Phillips is seeking a mid-level associate with at least 3 years of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) experience. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience defending employers in workplace safety-related claims before state and federal administrative agencies including the OSHRC and its ALJs. Experience representing clients in OSHA inspections and investigations is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates should be comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, as well as taking and defending depositions. Must possess excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and communications skills. Must be admitted to practice in Georgia.
