Charlotte - OSHA Employment Litigation Associate/Of Counsel

The Charlotte office of Fisher Phillips is seeking a senior-level associate/of counsel with at least 5 years of employment litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have experience defending employers in workplace safety-related claims before federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), but candidates with significant employment litigation experience and an interest in the OSHA practice will also be considered. Experience representing clients in OSHA inspections and investigations is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates should be comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, as well as taking and defending depositions. Must possess excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and communications skills. Must be admitted to practice in North Carolina.

Denver - Labor and Employment Associate

Fisher Phillips is seeking a labor and employment associate with 4+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience litigating cases involving wage and hour issues, wrongful termination, breach of contract, discrimination, harassment, and restrictive covenants. Experience in federal courts in Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) collective actions and Title VII discrimination suits. Experience with charges of discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Colorado Civil Rights Division and appeared before arbitration panels, including the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Experience with collective bargaining and contract administration, including grievance arbitration. Prior experience defending and prosecuting unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board is preferred. Candidate must possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong writing, analytical and communication skills. Must be admitted to practice in Colorado or eligible for admission by reciprocity.
